Help make mountain biking better in the West Central Adirondacks. We are looking for people interested in starting a new bike club in this area.
The West Central Adirondacks have some of the best mountain biking opportunities in the Easter U.S. and there are a lot of good things happening here.
We have been in conversations with IMBA and the New York State DEC and APA about local mountain bike trails and we have had people out working on trails.
It is time to get organized and build on the momentum! Come join us on Saturday October 19, for a group ride followed by an organizational meeting to discuss the new bike club. Read more…

The Black Fly Challenge is central to the plot of the newest book in the Adirondack Kids series, “The Carousel Case, the Bicycle Race and the Blackfly Bad Guy.”
This is the thirteenth book in the successful series from father-son writing team of Gary and Justin VanRiper. Read a sneak peak from chapter one, check out their schedule of book-signing appearances and buy the book for your future BFC racers at the Adirondack Kids website.
“This year was my first BFC. I could not be more impressed with the organization, spirit, camaraderie among riders, support from the towns, and the fun scene at the finish. It was truly a fantastic experience. A big thank you to the BFC organizers. See you next year.”
- A. Donaldson, on Facebook
The Adirondack Mountain Bike Association, producer of the Black Fly Challenge, would like to express great appreciation to the towns of Indian Lake and Inlet for once again doing a great job on the Moose River Plains road and also to the Hamilton County Sheriff, NYS Police, NYS DEC, Indian Lake and Inlet ambulance squads and to the many, many volunteers that make the Black Fly Challenge possible.
Thanks to all of you – we couldn’t do it without you!
